Tastoria Partners With Stream57 For Unique Virtual Wine Tastings

NEW YORK, NY – Innovative virtual wine tasting host Tastoria has partnered with Stream57, the leading provider of fully customizable webcasting and rich media solutions for online communications, to present unique interactive online wine tastings, with the inaugural event taking place on Friday, September 28, 2007.

Through StreamLine, Stream57’s web-based software suite, Tastoria will showcase a brand new way to experience a classic wine tasting, as viewers join together to sample bottles from Sonoma Valley in an event broadcast live from a studio in the northern California region on Friday evening. A panel of wine experts will present and discuss six local wines, with wine lovers around the country joining in to ask questions and chat live with the hosts. Participants who register in advance with Tastoria are sent a Tastoria Tasting Pack, which includes six bottles of wine and a pass code to log on to the tasting from the comfort of their own homes. In addition to live community chat and question and answer sessions with the hosts, users will be able to vote on wines, rate their favorites in the pack, and get additional information on any they find appealing.

Approached by Tastoria to enhance their innovative online wine tastings, Stream57 developed customized features for their installation-free software suite StreamLine for the live event. The fully interactive application is designed to engage Tastoria’s users and enhance communication between presenters and viewers, bringing wine experts and worldwide connoisseurs together through the Internet.
